Trinity Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), and a member of the Allegheny Synod.
Trinity Lutheran Church is also an active member of the Interfaith Human Services of Centre County. This is a collaborative effort by approximately 30 faith communities who address unmet social and economic needs for low-income residents.
Mountain T.O.P. (Tennessee Outreach Project) - Each summer, Trinity Lutheran Church sends a group of youth and adults to Mt. T.O.P. This interdenominational, non-profit Christian Mission is dedicated to rural life ministry in the Cumberland Mountains of Tennessee. It seeks to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs of people through the love of Christ.
Camp Sequanota Lutheran Conference Center & Camp - Sequanota has 395 acres of beautiful land, a swimming pool, an Enrichment Center, and many camp buildings. But that which cannot be measured in time or material value is her greatest asset - the campers. Sequanota is one of many camps within the national Lutheran Outdoor Ministries network.
ClearWater Conservancy - Trinity's Care of Creation Team is closely aligned with this neighboring non-profit. is a land trust dedicated to promoting conservation and restoration of natural resources in central Pennsylvania through land conservation, water resources protection, and environmental outreach to the community.
PA Interfaith Power and Light - Pa. IP&L is a community of congregations, faith-based organizations, and individuals of faith responding to climate change as a moral issue, through advocacy, energy conservation, energy efficiency, and the use of clean, renewable energy. They help congregations think about energy usage as a matter of stewardship, carried out in: Energy assessment, education, & advocacy.
Park Forest Preschool - Trinity Lutheran Church supports the Park Forest Preschool - a nonprofit, tuition-free school for two, three, and four-year-old children from low-income families. They offer a comprehensive program that includes education, social skills, and developmental motor skills taught by qualified teachers in a friendly, safe environment. In each classroom there are one to three teacher aides, providing additional attention.
Happy Valley Business Association - Trinity Lutheran Church is a member of the HVBA. Organized in 1975, the PTBA strives to advance the commercial, industrial, and civic interests of the citizens of Patton Township. It promotes integrity, good faith, and high principles in business, and endeavors to represent the business interests of Patton Township business people in decisions impacting state and local issues. This was previously known as the Patton Township Business Association.
Food Bank of the State College Area, Inc. - Trinity Lutheran Church regularly collects food for the local food bank, whose mission is "to provide food security, directly or indirectly, to people in Centre County." Their vision that "One day, no one will go hungry in Centre County."
Toys for Tots - Centre County - Trinity Lutheran Church donates and volunteers for the annual Toys for Tots drive in Centre County. Since 1947, the Marine Corps Reserve has sponsored the Toys for Tots effort annually throughout the United States. Since 1987, the local Marine Corps League's "Nittany Leathernecks Detachment", a community service organization composed of active, retired and former Marines, has operated the program in Centre County. The program is now considered one of Centre County's premier charity events. Each year the local campaign effort ensures that over 3000 less-than-fortunate Centre County children enjoy the holiday spirit.
